Twenty nine years ago, Julie Firth along with numerous volunteers embarked on a dryland challenge of turning a cleared sandplain block into a thriving productive organic permaculture system. Experience the hum and energy of this established well designed, semi arid oasis nestled in the outskirts of rural Waggrakine. See where Yilgarn Seeds are grown and learn how heirloom seed varieties are adapted to the Geraldton region. Walk beneath the canopy of the food forest and see how the fertility is maintained using various animals.

Hear stories of the trials and tribulations of the farm and nursery’s development. Experience the magic this place holds and see the beauty created from working with patterns of nature and with the use of local resources. You’ll also have an opportunity over morning tea to meet Julie and some of the volunteers that have participated in making of this place.
