And the Goodness Photo Competition Winners are….
Sharing Goodness pays off for photo competition winners
This year’s Goodness Sustainability and Innovation Festival included a new way for festival followers to get involved – a photo competition where entrants were invited to share Goodness and capture the festival’s values in a photo.
Festival spokesperson Andrew Outhwaite was impressed with the range of photo subjects submitted.
“There are so many different ways that our entrants related to our theme of all things ethical, beautiful and Good! These included a chicken shelter from repurposed items, art from nature, home grown lunch, photos from Goodness Festival events and plenty of shots of our beautiful and good natural surroundings.” Andrew said.
The Judges Choice was awarded to Emma Harris for her photo entitled “Pumpkins for dinner Mum?”.
“Emma’s photo told a complete story and best embodied the values of Goodness, with its focus on the backyard vegie plot and teaching kids the value of home grown food.” said Andrew. “We hope Emma will enjoy her prize of a professional photography course worth more than $400, delivered locally by photographers Karl Monaghan and Ken Lawson.”
Winner of the Peoples Choice award was Angie West for her panorama of Drummond Cove with its beautiful blue sea. Angie’s photo collected more votes from competition supporters than any other image, winning her a great prize of $300 worth of professional printing and framing.
Last but not least, Corryne Bull came away the lucky winner in the random draw from among competition voters, securing a $50 gift voucher to spend at her favourite west end business.
Competition sponsors Ken Lawson Photography and Karl Monaghan Photography both made generous contributions towards the attractive prizes on offer for the Judges Choice and Peoples Choice winners.
